DTOP announces traffic diversion for the inauguration of Pedro Pierluisi | government

The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP) and the Highways and Transportation Authority announced the diversion of traffic to carry out the Acts of Swearing in and Taking of Possession of the Governor-Elect Pedro R. Pierluisi, tomorrow Saturday, January 2, 2021.

As reported, for the safety of the event participants, a temporary closure of Luis Muñoz Rivera Avenue (PR-1), from Reverendo Gerardo Dávila Street to the Olympic House, will be necessary as of Friday, January 1, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. Similarly, Avenida de la Constitución, from Plaza Colón to Calle Reverendo Gerardo Dávila, will remain closed until Saturday at 3 in the afternoon.

Visitors, non-residents and / or merchants, who need to reach the Old San Juan area will count Avenida Fernández Juncos as an alternate route. While residents and merchants will be able to use Calle del Tren to reach their respective destinations.
