The secretary of the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP), Carlos M. Contreras Aponte again extended the validity of motor vehicle licenses and their respective labels, with expiration date in March, April, May , June and July 2020.
Reportedly, owners of motor vehicles with expired labels between March and July 2020, will have until August 31, 2020 to renew, without exposing themselves to penalties or affecting their compulsory insurance and ACAA.
Before this resolution was approved, the deadline to renew expired labels during this period was July 31.
Likewise, those who have private insurance must contact their company insurance to negotiate the terms of coverage, pursuant to this extension.
