Earthquake reported south of Guánica | PRESENT

At 12:33 p.m. Today, the Puerto Rico Seismic Network registered a preliminary magnitude 4.05 earthquake south of Guánica.

The earthquake had a maximum intensity of V (five) in Lajas. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers

There is no tsunami warning for either Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.

This earthquake is part of the seismic sequence that affects the southwest of the country since December 2019.
