Eight additional deaths from Covid-19 are recorded | government

The Department of Health report reported eight deaths from Covid-19; Meanwhile, 403 confirmed cases and 186 additional probable cases were registered.

This adds up to 24,074 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.

Meanwhile, the agency reported 447 hospitalized by the virus in its dashboard. .

Of the 447 people hospitalized, there are 75 intensive care patients and 57 ventilators. No pediatric patient is hospitalized for the virus.

Of the total deaths reported, seven were classified as confirmed and are broken down below:

– 75-year-old woman from the Aguadilla region

– 83-year-old man from the Fajardo region

– 64-year-old man from the Ponce region

– 78-year-old man from the Metro region

– 81-year-old man from the Metro region

– 51-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 76-year-old man from the Metro region

On the other hand, a probable death was reported corresponding to an 81-year-old man from the Fajardo region.

With the fatalities reported, the confirmed deaths add up to 174 and the probable ones are 121, therefore, the total of deaths is 295.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 10,169. The total was adjusted after subtracting eleven duplicate cases; In addition, 172 were added with a sampling date from June 29 to July 27. Of that total, 5,209 are women and 4,960 men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date from July 28 to August 9.

As part of the report, 186 additional probable cases were registered, with a sample collection date that includes from July 28 to August 9. In this line, the total is 13,905, after being adjusted, by subtracting 100 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. Similarly, two duplicate cases with a sampling date of August 5 and 6 were subtracted and 23 cases were added: 3 with a sampling date of May 26 to July 27. Probable cases are divided into 7,633 women and 6,272 men.
