Eight new deaths from COVID-19 in Puerto Rico


The Department of Health reported eight additional deaths from COVID-19 that occurred between January and February, according to the agency in its daily report.

The total number of deaths reached 2,040, said Salud. The number is divided into 1,741 confirmed deaths and 307 probable.

In addition, 36 new positive cases confirmed by samples taken between February 15 and 29 were reported.

Likewise, 16 probable cases and 75 suspects were reported.

Meanwhile, the agency added that there are 169 people hospitalized due to coronavirus. Yesterday the figure was 162.
