The National Weather Service (SNM) has issued two flood warnings, one for towns in the northwest area and one for the metropolitan area.
The warnings respond to the rains of the past few hours and which are expected to continue tonight in various parts of the Island. "Heavy showers with the potential for thunderstorms could move over eastern Puerto Rico and over the American Virgin Islands," states the SNM.
One of the flood warning notices is for Añasco, Rincón, Aguada and Moca, this until 6:00 pm Today.

The warnings imply that there is a threat of rain moderate to strong, and of sudden increase along ravines and streams.
