Electoral Comptroller will be an advisor to the EEC | government


The Electoral Comptroller, Walter Vélez and the president of the State Elections Commission (CEE), Francisco Rosado Colomer, today signed an agreement for Vélez to be an electoral and administrative advisor to the Commission.

“Having Walter Velez’s vast electoral experience at a crucial and historic moment for the State Elections Commission is invaluable. The Commission needs to regain the reliability and trust that has historically characterized it and certainly its administrative assistance and advice on electoral matters will be of great help to fully comply with the electoral feat, ”said Rosado Colomer.

Vélez Martínez, who had previously worked in the EEC, thanked the president for his confidence to collaborate in the upcoming electoral process. “” I appreciate the confidence given by the President, the Alternate President and the Electoral Commissioners to allow me to collaborate in the effort they carry out to organize, coordinate and plan the election process that will be held on November 3, 2020. I am committed to contribute my experience and knowledge for the benefit of the EEC and the people of Puerto Rico ”, expressed Vélez Martínez.

Walter Vélez Martínez worked in the EEC as an executive assistant, statistician, analyst in Electoral Planning and in 2007 he was appointed Secretary of the Commission until 2017 when he was appointed Electoral Comptroller.
