Emergency System call centers closed due to Covid-19 positives | government

The secretary of the Department of Public Safety, Pedro Janer Román reported tonight about the closure of the Call Reception Centers of the 9-1-1 Emergency Systems Bureau after employees of both facilities reported positive results for the coronavirus.

“To guarantee the continuity of operations and that emergencies are attended to correctly, the Office of the Bureau for Emergency Management and Disaster Administration (NMEAD), known as Central Control, will be used, which operates 24 hours with properly trained personnel”, Janer Román explained.

According to reports, the employees who had or may have had contact with the positive cases were placed in isolation and tests will be carried out to detect Covid-19 in the coming days, according to the protocol of the Department of Health.

On the other hand, both buildings will be disinfected and the date on which operations will resume will be announced shortly.
