Famous people mourn the death of Tito Rojas

After the death of the renowned salsa singer Julio César “Tito” Rojas López at the age of 65 was announced this morning, the reactions of different personalities and artists were not long in coming.

Social networks have been flooded with messages lamenting the departure of the musical icon and offering condolences to his family; from fellow salsa singer Tony Vega, to urban music performers such as “Don Omar” and “El Guayna”, to television personalities such as Alexandra Fuentes and reporter Mónika Candelaria, expressions of affection and appreciation for the late musician have spread throughout length and width of the Island.

According to information confirmed by the Humacao Criminal Investigation Corps and by the Puerto Rico Police press office, a call to 9-1-1 alerted about a medical situation in a residence in the Mariana neighborhood of the Humacao municipality which it was the exponent of sauce.

The call was made around 12:30 in the morning, when upon arrival they found Rojas’s body.
