The Secretary of the Department of the Treasury, Francisco Parés, reported that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the United States has not yet provided a date for the approval of the distribution plan of the $ 600 of the new federal economic stimulus that will receive the majority of the citizens in the Island.

“We hope that they will handle this matter with the same diligence with which they have addressed the needs of American citizens living in the US,” Parés said on Twitter when asked by a citizen.

The draft of the Distribution Plan for the 2nd round of Economic Impact Payments was filed by the agency on December 28, 2020.
