Federal Health allocates $ 1.34 million to four universities on the island




Washington – Four universities in Puerto Rico will receive around $ 1.34 million in funds from the US Department of Health for scholarships and training.

The funds are part of an allocation package from the Federal Department of Health covering states, Washington DC and Puerto Rico through six programs that reach $ 107.2 million.

On the one hand, the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) and the Carlos Albizu University will receive $ 650,000 each for scholarships for disadvantaged students economic that are part of educational health programs.

Meanwhile, the Inter-American University will obtain $ 36,476 and the UPR Medical Sciences Campus another $ 11,157 to subsidize the training of students assigned to anesthesia nursing programs.
