Five deaths bring the number of victims of Covid-19 to 720 | government


The Health Department reported five deaths from Covid-19, 314 confirmed cases and 316 additional probable cases in its daily report.

The reported deaths were classified as confirmed. They are two men, 60 years old (Metro region) and 72 years old (Arecibo region); and three women, 74 years old (Bayamón region), 93 years old (Metro region) and 98 years old (Metro region).

With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths add up to 541 and the probable ones are 179, so the total number of deaths is 720.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 26,326, of which 14,169 are women and 12,157 are men. The total was adjusted after adding two cases with a sampling date of September 21 and 26, respectively.

The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of September 28 to October 6.

As part of the report, 316 additional probable cases were registered with a sampling date that ranges from September 28 to October 6.

In this line, the total is 26,566 after being adjusted, by subtracting 34 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. Probable cases are divided into 14,833 women and 11,733 men.

On the other hand, the Health Department website reported an increase of 39 in hospitalized patients, which now total 354.
