Flags at half mast in San Juan after the death of the leader of the Mita Congregation

The mayor of San Juan, Miguel Romero Lugo, expressed solidarity with the MITA Congregation on Tuesday in the face of the loss of its leader, Teófilo Vargas Seín (Aaron), and declared three days of mourning and ordered the flags to be waved at half-mast of the Municipality and its dependencies.

“My condolences and solidarity hug to the MITA Congregation in San Juan, in Puerto Rico and around the World, in the face of the irreparable loss of its leader and Spiritual Father, Aarón. The legacy of your contributions in favor of the communities and your Church will last forever. May he rest in peace, “said the mayor in a written statement.

“Since we learned the sad news of Aaron’s departure while he was still alive, I have been on the lookout and made myself available for anything this community needs. It is with great pain that we say goodbye to a faithful believer, rooted in his beliefs, but above all, to his community; may he rest in peace, “said Romero Lugo.
