
Dozens of towns are under warning of flash floods due to the intense rain generated by the Isaías storm over all of Puerto Rico, the National Weather Service (SNM) indicated early Thursday morning.
The rains they can generate a sudden increase in the level of rivers and streams. They can also generate mudslides.
Trujillo Alto, San Juan, Carolina, Canóvanas, Guaynabo, Bayamón and Cataño are under a flash flood warning until 9:45 am.
They urge not to cross flooded areas .
Meteorology urged not to cross flooded roads, since the accumulation of water is generally greater than what can be seen with the naked eye.
Drivers should look for alternate routes. A single foot of water can drag a vehicle.
Most flood deaths occur in automobiles.
