
The National Meteorological Service (SNM) in San Juan issued a flood warning on Thursday afternoon for three municipalities in the western zone.
According to the SNM, the municipalities of Cabo Rojo, Mayagüez and Hormigueros will remain with warning of floods until 5:45 in the afternoon.
At 2:38 in the afternoon, Doppler radar detected moderate rainfall throughout the area with warning.
This rain, in addition to the previous rains, will continue to cause flooding along small streams and rivers through these municipalities, particularly Mayagüez and Hormigueros.
Excessive runoff will continue this afternoon and tonight.
