SAN JUAN – The National Meteorological Service (SNM) in San Juan has issued on Wednesday a warning of urban floods and small streams for Adjuntas, Guayanilla, Peñuelas, Ponce, Sabana Grande and Yauco until 5:30 in the afternoon.
According to the SNM, at 2:19 pm, the Doppler radar indicated heavy rains due to electrical storms.
This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rains of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
A flood warning means that river or stream flows are high, or waterlogging in urban areas or other areas is occurring or imminent.
