SAN JUAN (CyberNews) – The National Meteorological Service (SNM) in San Juan issued a flash flood warning for the municipality of Naguabo on Friday until 7:00 p.m.
At 4:43 in the afternoon, the Doppler radar and automatic rain gauges detected electrical storms producing heavy rains in Río Blanco in Naguabo.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain has fallen. Flash floods are already happening.
Highway 31 with Highway 53 Exit 22 is flooded and impassable.
Additional amounts of rain of 1 to 2 inches may be present in the warned area.
On the other hand, the municipalities of Humacao, Juncos, Las Piedras and San Lorenzo remain under a flood warning until 7:45 p.m.
In addition, the municipalities of Arroyo, Guayama, Maunabo, Patillas and Yabucoa remain under flood warning until 6:00 in the afternoon.
In the south, the municipalities of Guánica, Lajas, Sabana Grande, San Germán and Yauco remain under a flash flood warning until 5:45 p.m.
The SNM urged caution.
