The National Meteorology Service (SNM) issued a flood warning on Wednesday morning for Carolina, Canóvanas, Loíza and Río Grande .
At 8: Moderate to heavy rains were recorded at 00:00 that could generate a sudden increase in the level of streams or streams in the four towns under flood warning.
The rains are generated by a tropical wave. The flood warning will be in effect at least until 10:00 am
According to the SNM, a line of downpours affects the northeast of Puerto Rico and the San Juan metro area with moderate to locally heavy rainfall.
Urge not to cross flooded areas
Meteorology urged not to cross flooded roads, given that the accumulation of water is generally greater than what is seen with the naked eye.
Drivers should look for alternate routes. A single foot of water can wash away a vehicle.
