Governor makes recommendation for executive director of PREPA | government


Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced submitted to the Governing Board of the Electric Power Authority (PREPA) her recommendation to appoint engineer Efran Paredes Maisonet as executive director of said public corporation.

Paredes Maisonet currently holds the position on an interim basis.

“By virtue of the authority conferred on me by the Constitution and the laws of the Government of Puerto Rico, I am pleased to recommend and present before your consideration the appointment of engineer Efran Paredes Maisonet as proprietary executive director of the Electric Power Authority. I am confident that the extensive experience and commitment of the engineer Paredes Maisonet will contribute significantly to the success of this important entity for the benefit of the public service and the people of Puerto Rico, ”said the governor in her letter to the members of the PREPA Governing Board. .

Likewise, Vázquez Garced thanked the Board for its commitment and availability to address this recommendation.

The position of executive director of PREPA was vacated with the departure of José Ortiz, following the response of the corporation to the passage of Storm Isaías.
