Health adds 19 deaths from Covid-19, 58 confirmed cases and 53 probable cases | government


The Department of Health report reported 19 deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 58 confirmed cases and 53 additional probable cases were registered.

With these new cases, there are 570 reported deaths, and 38,284 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.

Of the reported deaths, 18 were classified as confirmed and are broken down below:

– 94-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 65-year-old man from the Bayamón region

– 71-year-old woman from the Arecibo region

– 73-year-old woman from the Caguas region

– 90-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 78-year-old woman from the Arecibo region

– 59-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 81-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 79-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 42-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 86-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 98-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 83-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 82-year-old woman from the Caguas region

– 70-year-old woman from the Arecibo region

– 66-year-old woman from the Mayagüez region

– 90-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 49-year-old woman from the Metro region

In addition, a probable death was reported corresponding to a 79-year-old woman from the Metro region.

With the additional deaths reported, the confirmed deaths total 403 and the probable deaths are 167, making the total number of deaths 570.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 18,252, of which 9,673 are women and 8,579 are men. The total was adjusted after adding 12 cases with a sample collection date from March 25 to August 31; in addition, 24 duplicate cases were subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of September 1 to 12.

As part of the report, 53 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from 9 to 13 September. In this line, the total is 20,032, after being adjusted, by subtracting eight cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; in addition, 12 duplicate cases were subtracted and 33 cases were added with a sample collection date from April 8 to August 28. Probable cases are divided into 11,061 women and 8,971 men.
