Health adds three deaths and 755 cases to the coronavirus on the Island | government


The Department of Health reported three additional deaths from coronavirus on the Island today, as well as 755 positive cases between confirmed and probable.

The deaths listed in the new Health report are a 73-year-old man from the Metro region, a 61-year-old man from the Arecibo region and a 53-year-old woman from the Metro region.

Two of the deaths occurred in February, while the third occurred on March 3. These bring the total number of fatalities from the virus to 2,056 since the emergency began on the island almost a year ago.

Meanwhile, Health reported 183 new confirmed cases (molecular test), raising the total in this line to 93,114. One case was added on November 28, 2020, and nine duplicate cases were subtracted.

Probable cases (antigen test) are now 7,952 after adding 43 positives. 18 cases that had a positive molecular test later were subtracted. On the other hand, a duplicate case was subtracted.

Meanwhile, 529 additional suspected cases (serological test) raised a total to 83,339. Seven cases that had a positive molecular test were subtracted, and two cases that subsequently had a positive probable test. 17 cases prior to February 17 were also added and seven duplicate cases were subtracted.

The total number of hospitalized is 136, of which 23 are in intensive care and 18 are connected to ventilators. Of the total of 136, 19 are pediatric patients.
