Health adjusts the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 1,499 and the probable to 4,696

The Department of Health adjusted today, Friday, to 1,499 the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 and to 4,696 the total probable cases after identifying duplicate and accumulated cases that affected statistics.

"It is important to remember that any death recorded after the report is issued will be reflected in subsequent reports," the agency detailed in a press release.

The adjustment to the total number of confirmed cases involved the sum of six recent cases, the sum of a positive result that was obtained on April 1 and the subtraction of four results that had been previously reported, but were duplicated, according to the agency.

"The subtraction of said cases responds to the fact that they were detected as duplicates, after receiving additional information, as part of the process of constant corroboration of the data, "Salud explained.

Meanwhile, the adjustment in probable cases involved the sum of 61 recent cases and 20 accumulated cases, the results of which were obtained between 8 May through June 3.
