
The Health Department report reported ten deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 708 confirmed cases and 519 additional probable cases were registered.
With these new cases, there are 627 reported deaths, and 43,842 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.
Of the reported deaths, nine were classified as confirmed and are broken down below:
– 51-year-old woman from the Ponce region
– 73-year-old man from the Ponce region
– 52-year-old man from the Bayamón region
– 82-year-old woman from the Metro region
– 66-year-old woman from the Caguas region
– 82-year-old woman from the Metro region
– 72-year-old woman from the Metro region
– 56-year-old man from the Caguas region
– 59-year-old man from the Caguas region
In addition, a probable death was reported, corresponding to an 89-year-old woman from the Ponce region.
With these additional deaths, confirmed deaths total 456 and probable deaths total 171, making the total number of deaths 627.
On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 21,156, of which 11,296 are women and 9,860 are men. The total was adjusted after adding 20 cases with a sampling date from July 23 to September 8; in addition, 11 duplicate cases were subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of September 9 to 21.
As part of the report, 519 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that includes September 9-21. In this line, the total is 22,686 after being adjusted, by subtracting 57 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; In addition, 17 duplicate cases were subtracted and 20 cases were added with a sample collection date from June 26 to September 8. Probable cases are divided into 12,626 women and 10,060 men.
