Health reports 10 additional deaths from Covid-19 | government


The Department of Health report reported 10 deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 82 confirmed cases and 154 additional probable cases were recorded.

Thus, there are 27,934 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.

Meanwhile, the agency reported 361 hospitalized for the virus.

Of the 361 people hospitalized, there are 58 intensive care patients and 39 ventilators. No pediatric patient is hospitalized for the virus.

Of the reported fatalities, nine were cataloged as confirmed and are broken down below:

– 79-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 80-year-old man from the Bayamón region

– 91-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 19-year-old woman from the Fajardo region

– 69-year-old man from the Bayamón region

– 75-year-old woman years from the Metro region

– 62-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 57-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 65-year-old woman from the Metro region

With the reported fatalities, the confirmed deaths total 225 and the probable deaths are 131, so the total number of deaths is 356.

The total was adjusted after subtracting two duplicate cases with sampling dates of May 18 and July 15; In addition, a case was added with a sampling date of July 20. Of that total, 6,493 are women and 5,959 men. The cases reported are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of August 11 to 16.

As part of the report, 154 additional probable cases were registered, with a sample collection date that includes 10 to August 16. In this line, the total is 15,482, after being adjusted, by subtracting 18 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. On the other hand, four cases were added: two from June 3, one from July 28 and one from July 29. Probable cases are divided into 8,497 women and 6,985 men.
