Health reports 11 additional deaths from Covid-19 | government

The Health Department added 11 additional deaths from Covid-19 in its most recent report, increasing the total fatalities from the virus to 523 since the emergency began last March.

The Health report also reported 121 confirmed cases and 164 additional probable cases.

Of the registered deaths, 10 were cataloged as confirmed: four women of 79 years (Caguas region), 76 years (Bayamón region), 78 years (Bayamón region) and 81 years (Bayamón region); and six men of 79 years (Bayamón region), 68 years (Bayamón region), 57 years (Bayamón region), 70 years (Bayamón region), 79 years (Bayamón region) and 77 years (Caguas region) ).

In addition, a probable death was recorded corresponding to a 71-year-old man from the Metro region.

With the additional deaths reported, the confirmed deaths total 359 and the probable deaths are 164, making the total number of deaths 523.

Salud remembers in all its reports that the change in the number of deaths should not be interpreted as having occurred in the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 17,357. Of these, 9,202 are women and 8,155 are men. The total was adjusted after adding two cases with a sampling date of August 11; in addition, 14 duplicate cases were subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of August 28 to September 8.

As part of the report, 164 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from August 31 to September 8.

In this line, the total is 19,224 after being adjusted by subtracting nine cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the registered cases of this report. In addition, 13 duplicate cases were subtracted. Probable cases are divided into 10,604 women and 8,620 men.

With these figures, the confirmed and probable cases on the island total 36,581.

According to the Health portal, a minor continues to be held in intensive care by the virus. The agency has only reported that it is a teenager and that he has been hospitalized for several days for complications related to the disease.
