Health reports 12 additional deaths from Covid-19 | government


The Department of Health report reported 12 deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 242 confirmed cases and 263 additional probable cases were registered.

With these new cases, there are 535 deaths and 37,092 probable and confirmed cases accumulated since the pandemic began.

Of the deaths recorded, 11 were listed as confirmed and are broken down below:

– 64-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 77-year-old man from the Metro region

– 69-year-old man from the Arecibo region

– 70-year-old man from the Metro region

– 65-year-old man from the Metro region

– 78-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 89-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 79-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 32-year-old man from the Ponce region

– 65-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 92-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

In addition, a probable death was registered corresponding to a 72-year-old woman from the Caguas region.

With the additional deaths reported, the confirmed deaths total 370 and the probable deaths are 165, making the total of deaths 535.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 17,598, of which 9,335 are women and 8,263 are men. The total was adjusted after adding 11 cases with a sampling date from August 2 to 27; in addition, 12 duplicate cases were subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date from August 28 to September 9.

As part of the report, 263 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from August 28 to September 9. In this line, the total is 19,494, after being adjusted, by subtracting 26 cases that subsequently had a positive molecular test, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; In addition, two duplicate cases were subtracted and 35 cases were added with a sample collection date from July 21 to August 27. Probable cases are divided into 10,757 women and 8,737 men.
