Health reports 18 additional deaths from Covid-19 | government


The Department of Health report reported 18 deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 388 confirmed cases and 266 additional probable cases were registered.

With these new cases, there are 588 reported deaths, and 38,867 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.

Of the reported deaths, 17 were classified as confirmed and are listed below:

– 55-year-old man from the Metro region

– 95-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 69-year-old man from the Metro region

– 81 man from the Metro region

– 82 man from the Metro region

– 41-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 91-year-old man from the Metro region

– 82-year-old man from the Metro region

– 69-year-old man from the Metro region

– 76-year-old man from the Arecibo region

– 82-year-old woman from the Arecibo region

– 74-year-old man from the Bayamón region

– 73-year-old man from the Arecibo region

– 81-year-old woman from the Arecibo region

– 74-year-old man from the Metro region

– 51-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 66-year-old man from the Metro region

In addition, a probable death corresponding to a 70-year-old man from the Metro region was reported.

With the additional deaths reported, the confirmed deaths total 420 and the probable deaths are 168, making the total number of deaths 588.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 18,634, of which 9,873 are women and 8,761 are men. The total was adjusted after adding ten cases with a sampling date from July 24 to August 31; in addition, 16 duplicate cases were subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of September 1 to 14.

As part of the report, 266 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from September 2 to 14. In this line, the total is 20,233, after being adjusted, by subtracting 42 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; In addition, 24 duplicate cases were subtracted and one case with a sample collection date of August 24 was added. Probable cases are divided into 11,187 women and 9,046 men.
