Health reports 353 new infections and 423 hospitalized for coronavirus


The report of the Department of Health did not report deaths from COVID-19, while an additional 353 confirmed infections and 352 probable cases were registered.

In the same way, 423 people are hospitalized according to the virtual Health tool known as dashboard, this represents one less than the 424 reported yesterday, when five deaths were recorded.

With no reported fatalities, the confirmed deaths total 161 and the probable ones are 118, for what, the total of deaths is 279 . It is important to remember that any death registered after the report is issued will be reflected in subsequent reports.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is 9,319. The total was adjusted after subtracting two duplicate cases with a sampling date of July 17 and 27. Likewise, 34 cases were added with a sampling date of July 13-23. Of that total, 4,747 are women and 4,572 men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date from July 24 to August 7.

As part of the report, 352 additional probable cases were registered, with a sample collection date that includes from July 28 to August 7. In this line, the total is 13,502, after being adjusted, by subtracting 55 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. Similarly, 18 cases were added with a sample collection date from May 6 to July 22. Probable cases are divided into 7,403 women and 6,099 men; four cases are under investigation in this area.
