Health reports 672 new cases of COVID-19 on the island

The Health Department reported this morning about 672 new cases of COVID-19 on the island.

In the report, which includes samples taken between January 1 and 15, 2021, no additional deaths were reported from the virus.

Likewise, the agency reported through its account Twitter, 115 probable cases and 644 suspected coronavirus.

After the new cases today, the number of positives to COVID-19 on the island rises to 81,394 since the pandemic began in March of last year and that so far, has claimed the lives of 1,703 people in Puerto Rico. The number is divided into 1,419 confirmed and 284 probable deaths.

At the moment some 363 people remain hospitalized due to the new virus, Health reported on its dashboard.
