Health reports eight deaths and 1,034 additional cases of covid-19 | government


The Health Department today reported eight additional deaths from covid-19, as well as 1,034 new positive cases between confirmed and probable.

With this, the accumulated figure rises to 251,354 cases and 2,323 deaths, between confirmed and probable, since the pandemic began.

Meanwhile, it was indicated that the total new infections includes cases with samples taken from April 18 to May 2.

On the other hand, the total number of cases confirmed by molecular testing (PCR) now amounts to 117,690 after adding 465 cases.

Probable cases total 15,817 with 92 new cases.

Meanwhile, 477 suspected cases put the total number of infections by positive serological test at 117,847.

From elsewhere, The report reflected 383 hospitalized for covid-19, six patients less than in the past 24 hours.
