
The Department of Health reported today five deaths from COVID-19 70 confirmed cases and 44 additional probable cases.
The The reported deaths were cataloged as confirmed and correspond to a 60-year-old woman from the Bayamón region, a 65-year-old woman from the metropolitan region, a 64-year-old woman from the metropolitan region, a 64-year-old man years from the Bayamón region and a 79-year-old man from the metropolitan region.
With these fatalities, the total deaths from coronavirus increased to 395 which are divided into 256 confirmed and 139 probable.
On the other hand, the total of the confirmed case results is 13,992 of which 7,347 are women and 6,645 are men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test with a sample collection date of August 11 to 21.
Meanwhile, the 44 additional probable cases have a sample collection date that includes August 14 to 22. In this row, the total is 16,728 after subtracting 14 cases that had a positive molecular test later and were added to the cases in this report, in addition, two cases were added with sampling dates of June 2 and 11. Probable cases are divided into 9,219 women and 7,509 men.
The Health dashboard indicates that 391 people are hospitalized for coronavirus on the Island. The figure was yesterday at 363 .
