Health reports more than 600 new infections of Covid-19 | government

The Department of Health added more than 600 new coronavirus cases (Covid-19) to the total number of positives on the Island, bringing the figure to 8,585 between confirmed and probable infections.

Without additional deaths, the total of confirmed deaths it remains at 60 and the probable ones add up to 95, therefore, the total number of deaths is 155.

Yesterday, the number of cases was 7,916. This implies an increase of 669 cases. It should be noted that the figure does not imply that these cases correspond to the last 24 hours.

In the new report, 204 confirmed cases were added. The total number of confirmed cases was adjusted to 2,071, after adding 21 cases: two previously reported as probable and that subsequently had a positive molecular test on April 8 and May 19. Similarly, 19 cases with a sample collection date of March 26 to June 19 were added.

The results of the confirmed cases of Covid-19 correspond to 1,030 women and 1,041 men. Confirmed cases are those with a positive molecular test (PCR).

On the other hand, an additional 333 probable cases were recorded. In this line, the total is 6,514, after being adjusted, by subtracting eight that had a positive molecular test, later.

Two of these cases were added to previously confirmed cases and six were added to cases registered as part of this report. On the other hand, 119 probable cases were added with sample dates from April 13 to June 18. Probable cases are divided into 3,480 women and 3,034 men.
