Health reports seven deaths and 859 confirmed cases of Covid-19 | government


The Department of Health report reported seven deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 859 confirmed cases and 622 additional probable cases were registered.

With these new cases, there are 839 reported deaths, and 68,172 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.

The reported deaths were classified as confirmed and are broken down below:

– 67-year-old man from the Metro region

– 49-year-old man from the Metro region

– 85-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 45-year-old man from the Bayamón region

– 85-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 43-year-old man from the Metro region

– 74-year-old man from the Metro region

With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths total 639 and the probable ones are 200, making the total number of deaths 839.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 35,405 of which 19,050 are women and 16,355 are men. The total of confirmed cases was adjusted after adding 13 cases with a sample collection date from June 18 to October 14; in addition, eight duplicate cases were subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of October 19-30.

As part of the report, 622 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that includes October 19-30. In this line, the total is 32,767 after being adjusted, by subtracting 55 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; Furthermore, 81 cases were added with a sampling date from June 3 to October 17, and a duplicate case was subtracted. Probable cases are divided into 18,300 women and 14,467 men.
