The Department of Health report reported seven deaths from Covid-19, while 53 confirmed cases and 25 additional probable cases were registered.
Of the reported deaths, six were classified as confirmed: two women, both 83 years old (Metro region) and four men, 56 years old (Metro region), 86 years old (Caguas region), 73 years old (Bayamón region) and 55 years (Arecibo region).
In addition, the report registered a probable death corresponding to a 64-year-old man from the Caguas region.
With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths add up to 302 and the probable deaths are 153, making the total number of deaths 455.
Salud emphasizes in all its reports that the change in the number of deaths should not be interpreted as having occurred in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 16,101. Of these 8,490 are women and 7,611 are men.
The total was adjusted after subtracting 21 duplicate cases with a sampling date of April 29 to August 18. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of August 24 to September 1.
As part of the report, 25 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from August 24 to September 1.
In this line, the total is 18,140 after being adjusted, by subtracting eight cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; in addition, six duplicate cases were subtracted. Probable cases are divided into 9,979 women and 8,161 men.
On the other hand, the number of hospitalized amounts to 382, according to the Health dashboard, an increase of 33 compared to yesterday’s figure.
