Health reports seven new deaths from COVID-19


The Department of Health reported today seven deaths from COVID-19 419 confirmed cases and 318 probable infections additional. [19659002] In its daily report, four deaths were classified as confirmed and correspond to a 65-year-old man from the metropolitan region, a 93-year-old woman from the metropolitan region, a 74-year-old man from the region from Arecibo and a 71-year-old man from the Arecibo region.

The other three deaths were registered as probable and correspond to a 72-year-old woman from the Bayamón region, a 72-year-old man from the Aguadilla region and an 83-year-old woman from the Aguadilla region.

With these fatalities the deaths increased to 374 and are divided into 240 confirmed and 134 probable. [19659002] On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of COVI D-19 is 13.014 . The total was adjusted after adding 19 cases with a sampling date from April 1 to August 3. Of that total, 6,813 are women and 6,201 are men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of August 7 to 18.

Meanwhile, the 318 additional probable cases have a sample collection date that includes August 6 to 18 . In this row, the total is 15,832 after subtracting 67 cases that had a positive molecular test later and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. In addition, a duplicate case was subtracted and 15 cases were added with sampling dates from June 8 to August 3. Probable cases are divided into 8,707 women and 7,125 men.

The Health dashboard indicates that 392 people are hospitalized for coronavirus on the Island. The figure was yesterday at 390 .
