
The Department of Health (DS) reported today, Sunday, two additional deaths corresponding to two women 55 and 56 years old, one of them from the metro zone and the other from the Fajardo region.
Likewise, the DS daily report confirmed a total of 2,192 new positive cases for the virus, a reflection of the samples taken between January 8 and 22 of this year. Of those cases, 831 are confirmed by molecular testing.
With these latest figures, the total number of deaths on the island from coronavirus rose to 1,773, and confirmed cases amounted to 84,578.
