Health reports two deaths and 359 confirmed cases of Covid-19 | government


The Health Department report reported two deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 359 confirmed cases and 273 additional probable cases were registered.

With these new cases, there are 768 reported deaths, and 57,950 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.

The reported deaths were classified as confirmed and correspond to two women, aged 84 and 83, from the Bayamón and Metro regions, respectively.

With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths total 585 and the probable deaths are 183, making the total number of deaths 768.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 29,138, of which 15,679 are women and 13,459 are men. The total of confirmed cases was adjusted after adding 69 cases with a sample collection date from August 3 to October 5; in addition, a duplicate case was subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of October 6 to 16.

As part of the report, 273 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from October 6 to 16. In this line, the total is 28,812 after being adjusted, by subtracting 59 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; In addition, 18 cases were added with a sampling date from September 1 to October 5, and two duplicate cases were subtracted. Probable cases are divided into 16,087 women and 12,725 men.
