This 2020-2021 school year begins with a total of 13,904 students, with 10,905 at the undergraduate level and 2,999 graduates. In Mayagüez the number of students is 12,845
With a total of 12,845 students, of these 1,918 newcomers, the University Campus of Mayagüez (RUM) began, today, Monday, August 17, classes for the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year in the modality of technology-assisted education.
According to data provided by the Office of RUM registry, this morning: 12,016 students are studying undergraduate programs; while 829 are from graduate school.
The breakdown by academic faculty is as follows: 5,004 Engineering; 4,059 from the College of Arts and Sciences; 1,626 from Agricultural Sciences; 1,227 from Business Administration; and 100 from the Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies.
“We have had to experience a completely atypical year that led us to offer technology-assisted classes with a minimum face-to-face component in some laboratories. This does not cloud the illusion that it gives us to begin a new academic year that opens the doors for our students to begin or continue their educational path that will lead them to complete their goals.
