Humacao merchants began to receive an incentive of $ 500

Humacao – The mayor of Humacao, Luis Raúl Sánchez Hernández, gave the first 25 merchants to request it, a $ 500 incentive for small and micro businesses in Humacao.

This activity was held in the Plaza del Mercado Wilfredo Cuadrado Sánchez Tío Güi, last Friday.

“These micro and small businesses experienced reduced income as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency, in addition to being for-profit businesses that meet income eligibility.

The program will provide assistance to the first thousand businesses to apply.

Applicants will have the opportunity to apply by accessing through the Official Facebook page of the Autonomous Municipality of Humacao, at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/MunicipleAutonomodeHumacao/posts/3648647708502881, go directly to the Municipality or by sending a request by email to [email protected].

The application period has already started and runs until Friday, November 6, 2020, ″ reported the mayor.

The program’s eligibility requirements include that the business must be physically located in the Municipality of Humacao; its workforce is five or fewer employees, in the case of micro-enterprises, and six to 75 employees, in the case of small enterprises; generate annual income equal to or less than $ 500,000;

Be free of criminal records or “Good Standing” in any town or state for federal taxes among others.

“We provide this incentive to be able to mitigate a little the losses due to the pandemic situation. We have a deep commitment to Humacao’s merchants, so we will continue to look for alternatives to continue helping our people, ”said Sánchez Hernández.
