In the early hours of last Sunday, a new wave of tremors shook Puerto Rico. Currently, municipal staff is "reaching out to all communities" to investigate and report any damage that may have occurred from the tremors, said the mayor of Lajas. Until now, he only knows about the house that collapsed in the Maguayo neighborhood.
Likewise, he stated that the governor Wanda Vázquez Garced has contacted him directly on four occasions to find out about the situation of the town.  "The governor told me that she has Lajas in her heart at the moment" narrated Irizarry.
In addition, the president expressed that she was "always available" for any situation, as well as resources from state offices and central government.
