
The total number of people hospitalized for coronavirus (COVID-19) on the Island is at 140, a reduction of seven compared to yesterday’s figure.
Meanwhile, the number of patients in an Intensive Care Unit increased to 12, one more than yesterday’s total. Of these, 10 are connected to an artificial respirator, an increase of three.
Yesterday, Health Secretary Lorenzo González assured that the number of 147 hospitalized was not the highest since the emergency began in mid-April. According to a list of all hospitalizations, the worst day was April 30, with 201.
The country’s health system today has 2,662 beds available. 4,126 remain occupied. The number of intensive care beds available amounts to 193, with 447 occupied.
On the other hand, Vieques remains the only municipality without reporting infections to date. Culebra now reports two confirmed cases.
Health today reported 113 confirmed cases and another 132 probable cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), bringing the totals for each category to 2,351 confirmed and 6,786 probable. The total number of infections registered on the Island amounts to 9,137.
