In 7,066 the probable and confirmed cases of Covid-19 on the Island | government

The Health Department report reported a death confirmed by Covid-19; meanwhile, 19 confirmed cases and 113 additional probable cases were registered.

With this, there are 7,066 confirmed and probable cases on the Island of samples taken until June 23.

The confirmed death corresponds to a 26-year-old woman from the Metro region. With this additional fatality, the total confirmed deaths is 58 and the probable deaths remain at 94, so the total deaths are 152 until June 25. It is important to remember that any death recorded after the report is issued will be reflected in subsequent reports.

At the time of issuing the report, 19 confirmed cases of Covid-19 were registered, for a total of 1,602. The results of confirmed cases correspond to 791 women and 811 men. Confirmed cases are those with a positive PCR test.

On the other hand, 113 additional probable cases were recorded. In this line, the total is 5,464, after adding 12 cases with a sample date of April 23 to June 9. Of the probable cases, 2,892 are women and 2,572 are men. Probable cases are those that test positive for a serological test.

Adjustments in totals are made as part of an effort by the Department of Health, entities, and clinical laboratories to ensure that all samples made for Covid-19 are recorded in the Bio Portal, regardless of the date it was taken.
