In 72 hospitalizations for the coronavirus on the Island | Agencies


The total number of hospitalized for covid-19 on the island woke up at 72, an increase of five compared to the figure shared yesterday by the Health Department.

The patients incarcerated for the virus are divided into 48 adults —11 in intensive care and five connected to a ventilator— and 24 pediatric hospitalized.

On the other hand, Health reported no additional deaths from covid-19 in today’s report; meanwhile, 279 new confirmed and probable positive cases were registered.

With this, the accumulated figure rises to 270,328 cases between confirmed and probable, since the pandemic began. The death toll stands at 2,530.

Vaccination data

Data published in the Health portal (PREIS System) show that 1,493,131 people have completed the vaccination process on the Island, which means that they have received both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine.

According to the portal, 3,273,557 doses have been administered on the island, while 1,871,132 people have at least one dose.
