
The Department of Health report reported four deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 164 confirmed cases and 132 additional probable cases were registered.
With these cases, there are 539 deaths and 37,380 probable and confirmed cases accumulated since the pandemic began.
Of the registered deaths, three were cataloged as confirmed and are broken down below:
– 73-year-old woman from the Aguadilla region
– 91-year-old woman from the Bayamón region
– 85-year-old man from the Fajardo region
In addition, a probable death was registered corresponding to a 96-year-old man from the Metro region.
With the additional deaths reported, the confirmed deaths total 373 and the probable ones are 166, so that the total number of deaths is 539. Health highlighted that any death registered after the report was issued will be reflected in later reports.
On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 17,769, of which 9,430 are women and 8,339 are men. The total was adjusted after adding seven cases with a sample collection date from August 3 to 26. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of September 1 to 10.
As part of the report, 132 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from September 2 to 10. In this line, the total is 19,611, after being adjusted, by subtracting 17 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; In addition, two cases were added with a sampling date of July 18 and 21, respectively. Probable cases are divided into 10,821 women and 8,790 men.
