In more than 53 thousand accumulated confirmed and probable cases of Covid-19 | government


The Health Department report reported eight deaths from Covid-19 and 209 confirmed cases and 162 additional probable cases.

With these cases, there are 53,364 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began and 728 deaths.

Of the reported deaths, seven were classified as confirmed and are broken down below:

– 92-year-old man from the Bayamón region

– 87-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 69-year-old man from the Metro region

– 72-year-old man from the Metro region

– 88-year-old man from the Metro region

– 67-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 81-year-old man from the Arecibo region

In addition, a probable case was reported corresponding to an 85-year-old man from the Bayamón region.

With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths add up to 548 and the probable ones are 180, so the total number of deaths is 728. Health recalled that any death registered after the report was issued will be reflected in subsequent reports.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 26,558, of which 14,294 are women and 12,264 are men. The total was adjusted after adding 23 cases with a sampling date from July 29 to September 22. The cases reported are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of September 23 to October 7.

As part of the report, 162 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from September 23 to October 7. In this line, the total is 26,806 after being adjusted, by subtracting 24 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report; In addition, a duplicate case was subtracted and 103 cases were added with a sample collection date from July 16 to September 22. Probable cases are divided into 14,968 women and 11,838 men.
