San Juan – A man who was accused of taking a minor by force was booked into prison for not providing the bail imposed.

According to the police report, Pedro Cruz Negrón, 38, arrived at the Alturas de Cupey residential complex last Wednesday and took a 16-year-old minor with a firearm.

The subject alleged that the minor is his daughter.

The subject was charged with carrying a firearm. Judge Iraida Rodríguez, determined cause for arrest and added charges who also determined to file charges for child abuse, indicating a total bail of $ 150 thousand, which he did not pay when he was admitted to prison.

Cruz Negrón was arrested this Thursday, on the grounds of the Villas del Sol condominium, in Trujillo Alto, as a suspect in an incident where he allegedly restricted his freedom by intimidating him with a firearm.

The complaint was filed by personnel from the Department of the Family, whose social workers were witnesses to what happened.

An indictment is only an indictment and is not evidence of guilt. The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
