Increase in intensive patients due to Covid-19 | government


The total number of hospitalizations for the coronavirus (Covid-19) on the Island increased to 392, two additional to the figure reported yesterday on the Health Department dashboard.

Of these, 65 patients are in intensive, an increase of eight compared to yesterday's figure. Meanwhile, 42 are connected to an artificial respirator, an increase of five.

There are no pediatric patients hospitalized for the virus.

The country's hospital system has 2,986 adult beds and 961 pediatric beds. There are also 227 intensive care beds and 789 ventilators available.

Regarding the municipalities, there are still more cases of the virus San Juan (2,559), Bayamón ( 1,065), Carolina (946), Guaynabo (524) and Caguas (437). The municipalities with the least cases are Culebra (16), Maricao (18) and Jayuya (18).

The country woke up today with 419 confirmed cases and 318 additional probable cases, raising the totals in each category to 13,014 confirmed and 15,832 probable . Salud also reported seven deaths, bringing the total to 374.
