Is the Covid-19 transmitted with cigarette smoke? | PRESENT

Can Covid-19 be transmitted through cigarette smoke?

Experts believe that it does not happen directly, but that infected smokers can expel virus-carrying droplets by exhaling the smoke.

The Fact smelling the smoke may be a sign that you are too close to the smoker. Droplets expelled by talking, coughing, or sneezing are believed to be the primary means of transmission of the virus. And those droplets are also expelled when smoked.

"Not only do they potentially spread the virus by not wearing the mask, but they blow out the droplets that can infect people around them," said Dr. Albert Rizzo, chief physician of the American Lung Association of the United States.

In any case, it is advisable to stay away from people who are smoking, since breathing that smoke can cause various health problems, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention United.
