Lares mayor's office closed after husband of employee test positive for coronavirus

The Lares mayor's office was closed preventively after the husband of a municipal employee tested positive for the coronavirus molecular test.

The information was confirmed by the mayor, José Rodríguez Ruiz, in a radio interview with NotiUno 630.

Rodríguez also reported that both the employee and several of her colleagues underwent the COVID-19 test and are waiting for the results.

“Yesterday afternoon we received the news from one of the companions of the Municipality of Lares that her husband tested positive for coronavirus by the molecular test. We quickly acted and got her, along with several colleagues from her department, to do the Covid molecular test. We are waiting for the test to arrive on Monday to take it to 360 employees, "the mayor explained.
