Last man on PR-2 in Ponce


Municipal Medical Emergency paramedics arrived at the scene, who diagnosed the absence of vital signs.

PONCE – The Police reported on Tuesday about a murder and gunshot wound, which occurred in the afternoon on the PR-2 highway in the El Tuque sector in Ponce.

According to the police report, a call was received through the 9-1-1 Emergency System about a gunshot wounded on Highway 2 at the exit of the El Tuque neighborhood.

Agent Luis Echevarría, attached to the Ponce Oeste Precinct, appeared at the scene, who indicated that the Ford motor vehicle (bus), Explorer model, green color was found parked on the pavement, driver’s side, the body of a man who had several gunshot wounds.

Municipal Medical Emergency paramedics arrived at the scene, who diagnosed the absence of vital signs.

The Uniformed specified that the body was identified by the Police as Wilfredo Carrillo Ayala, 45 years old and a resident of the Punta Diamante Community in Ponce.

Related to this incident, Mr. Rafael Carrillo Pagán, 73, was wounded by a bullet, who was in the company of the deceased and his father. Carrillo Pagan, was transported to the Damas Hospital, where he receives medical assistance.

This investigation is in charge of agent José Pérez Montes under the supervision of Sergeant Miguel Torres of the Homicide Division, together with prosecutor Jorge Martínez, who ordered the removal and transfer of the body to the Institute of Forensic Sciences (ICF).
